Accommodation Update - 7 March 2010
This year there has been very heavy demand for beds at the Youth Hostel
for the Friday night and you may wish to consider one of the
alternatives below:

Entrants to the Ridgeway Walk, whether YHA members or not, can stay
overnight at Streatley YH, Hill House, Reading Road, Streatley, Reading, Berks,
RG8 9JJ (phone: 01491 872278) on Friday, 7 May and on Saturday, 8 May. [web
site]. Please note that the Reading Outdoor Group have taken out a group
booking for the event period, so if you wish to stay please use the
booking form provided. See

An evening meal for Friday, 7 May, can be ordered in advance or on the day,
provided you order it before 6.00 p.m. The meal will be served at 7.00 p.m.
If ordered in advance, packed breakfasts can be provided for consumption before
the coach arrives or on the coach on Saturday morning. Tea and coffee will be
available before the coach arrives.
Evening meals on Saturday, 8 May should be booked in advance but, unlike
Friday night, the meals will be available as and when walkers require them
between the hours of 7.00 p.m. and 10.00 p.m. However, if you think that you
might finish too late to have a meal by 10.00 (and please bear in mind that you
will need some time to recover from the walk before eating) please do not book
an evening meal.
Please say if you want vegetarian meals or have any other dietary requirement.
 Bookings
can be made (as soon as possible, please) on the form below and sent to the
Bookings Secretary with your entry for the walk.
Hostel fees can be combined with entry/coach charges in one cheque or postal
order made payable to “Reading Outdoor Group Ridgeway 40”.
If you cannot make up your mind what meals you want, these can be ordered later
(but no later than 30 April - Deadline will be strictly
adhered to): just tick the last line below to receive a duplicate booking
form.
